BOOK REVIEW BY INÉS.

I had a truly magical evening when I started reading Todos los lugares que mantuvimos en secreto, a romantic book which I've heard about many times. It was one of the first romantic books I've read this year, and it won't be my last.

Todos los lugares que mantuvimos en secreto is set in Finland specifically in Sarkola. Our main characters are Maeve, a young girl whose mum is dead and who is fed up with her life in United States so she decided to return to Sarkola to get to know her mum as she had died when Maeve was a little child and Connor, who is Maeve's childhood friend that had a crush on her. Unfortunately, Maeve can't remember who he is but they will casually meet and complete a list together.

One of its strengths is how absorbing the content is, in fact there are moments I got open-mouthed at night. Furthermore, not only love plays a important part in the book but also friendship relationships. Therefore, that makes it so much interesting.

I'm actually crazy about this book, I know that everything has a negative side that lets us down, nevertheless, in this book everything is well connected.

I would certainly recommend this book for anyone who wants to kick off the adventure within the pages of a book as it has got one of the most amazing contents I've ever read. The experience of reading this book is unforgettable.

All about Inés

 All about Inés

Well, my name is Inés, I'm 14 years old and I live in Ubeda, a small city in Spain which is a world heritage city, but actually I was born in Portugal and my parents are Chinese.

I am fond of playing voleyball and badminton, I think they are both really cool sports. I am keen on drawing since I was a child, I used to draw a lot, and listening to music is amazing too without a doubt, especially pop music owing to its rhythm and catchy lyrics which I can remember easily. My favorite singer is The Weeknd. To my eyes they are such amazing pastimes.

Hanging out with my besties is also crucial for me, I feel comfortable when I am with them and I know I can count on them for literally eveything. They are a vital part in my life. Furthermore, another hobby which is essencial for me is reading since I can get away for a while reading the books I like.

The content of all the books I have read are excellent and absorbing, I personally love plot twists.
About series, I am actually not really keen on watching series or movies, however, I am really interested in Japanese series. One of the games I enjoy the most is "Roblox" in particular when I play with my close friends.

When I grow up, I hope to get a job I am interested in, nowadays. I'd like to become a psychologist but, maybe a few years afterwards I will desire another job... It is hard to decide as I am not mature enough for choosing a suitable job. I am really ambitious, therefore, I hit the books hard in order to get a prosperaus future. For me, if we are dead set on learning we will succeed in whatever we want. We should pull our socks up!

ALL ABOUT DANIELA!

Hi! My name is Daniela but my friends call me "Dani". I live in Úbeda which is a town where you can't do many things but you can also spend a good time if you hang out with your friends on weekends like I do most of the weekends.

I love the fashion world and I love creating new outfits. My favourite subject is History, I find it very easy to understand and learn.

I don't know what I want to be in the future, maybe I will be a photographer or something similar. I don't like doing sport because in my opinion it's very boring, I can't understand people that like those kind of things. I prefer listening to music and chill out in my bedroom. I'm keen on painting too, I consider myself a very creative person.

I prefer wearing winter clothes than wearing summer clothes because with winter clothes you can feel more comfy. Also I like raining days than sunny days.

See you soon!

Daniela.

All about me!

Hi! My name is Lucy M. a student in Pilar's English Centre and this is my first post in this newsletter.

Right now I'm 16 years old and studying for B2, also, I'm doing arts at the moment. My favourite school subjects are of course related to art and everything related to it but I would say that my favourite one from all is what we call "volumen" that is a class where you basically just sculpt things, but hear me out, it is more fun than what it sounds like.

But let's stop talking about school (because I think that it would be a little boring) and let's talk about my real interests. I'm a big music fan, that's basically one of the millions of things that got me into learning English, and as a music fan I have my favourites being: The Beatles. They are at least for me the best group that has ever existed. Another group that I like is Oingo Boingo, my second favourite group, their tunes are so catchy and so flamboyant.

I think that's a great start to really set what kind of person I am, I hope I can write more here and just spend a good time writing. If you have any suggestions on what we could talk about here leave a comment, bye!

Hello there! My name is Nuria and I am one of the teacher's at Pilar's English Centre.

At the moment I'm 25 (how old!) and before I was even a teacher, I also studied English here. I started when I was 6 and fell in love with English instantly, although I must say that my love increased when I discovered the amazing world of YouTubers and reading when I was 13-14.

For you information and going back to what Lucy said, we are writing this words as we listen to The Beatles because I am also a big music fan and I love them.

I also love reading and crafting (but DON'T show me DIY's because I will try them almost instantly).

I thought that creating a newsletter would be a great idea to improve writing (and speaking! just wait until you see our YouTube channel) so if you are into writing and are a student, please join us! :D
